How to feed free food to 10,000 people a day

Lunch at the Langar: Exploring a Free Kitchen in Delhi

Writing for Worldchanging, Sarah Rich went to New Dehli for a conference and visited the Gurdwara Bangla Sahib kitchen, at a Sikh temple,
which serves meals to around 10,000 people every single day, for free. Although I've never visited one, apparently every Sikh temple has a "free kitchen", called a Langar. This one is funded by wealthier members of the community and through small donations at the temple.

Worldchanging is a leading environmental website, with many great articles and solutions.

As someone who has cooked for hundreds, it boggles my mind to think of an operation cooking for that many people every day. What an amazing ministry!!

Top 8 Social Music sites

Social Music Overview

TechCrunch today has a round-up of 8 popular social music sites.

They are:
FineTune
Pandora
last.fm
MOG
radio.blog.club
MyStrands
iLike
iJigg

And what is a "social music site"? It's kind of like Amazon's book recommendations; the software tracks the relationships between different things that people like, and reports tendencies as suggestions for others. If you bought Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth DVD, you're more likely to buy the book Worldchanging: A User's Guide for the 21st Century.

What does this mean for you? These sites will suggest new music for you, based on the suggestions of others with similar tastes or your iTunes playlist. They'll suggest music blogs or let you build online playlists. They'll help you discover great new music.
