Even though I wasn't a big fan of Mister Rogers as a child, this article from Mental Floss really changed my mind about him.

He's an easy target for derision from the cooler-than-you kids, but maybe those "boring" children's shows about respecting other people are better than the "exciting", violent 30-minute commercials that sell expensive toys.
